Blog Three

We had a great week this week, after lots of snow the sun decided to put on his boots and come join us snowboarding. Clear skies means time to whip out the camera and get some footage and what a sick day it was. We went over the back which was un touched, we broke it in through its crust top layer through to its powdery interior, not to high a risk for avalanches but we were none the less prepared with all the kit and cabuddle some of us too prepared and it showed on the hike back out. We dropped some cliffs and big gnarly cornices, the landings were soft and a few cornice drops surprised us with some flatter landings. We bumped into some Swiss shredders, their photographer and Andre; captain of the radest Bus in Argentina!!
On the food front we have been spoiled with plenty of asado's (really good BBQ) with whole sheep being attacked, some fantastic/amazing Beef, our plates looked like a meat conference. I asked a local if there were many vegetarians or vegans in Argentina, he said "no".

Blog two

After a couple of days of protesting the native americans of San Martin staged a road block to Chapelco which ended up in our favour as it let an extra day of fresh snow untouched. This following week has been dumping hard, though the unstable snow means that we have been bound to the trees which is no bad thing as we have had a rad time finding new lines and filmed a wee bit once the new cable for our camera had eventually arrived! Weather a bit weird, freeze thaw and some rain meant for a couple of wet days, but currently colder and set to be a cold week as well, stoked.

Plans to be going to Bariloche and other resorts on the way, speaking to a few local shredders who are keen to get filmed which is cool. blog 3 will be soon and lots more footage and photos to come.

Day one of Blog

Bienvenidos! The Unbez Argentina Trip is online. Bit delayed in getting on the blog, but we'll try to keep it updated from now. Currently in San Martin De Los Andes, in north east Patagonia...its a rad place. Had a wee stop in Buenos Aires, partied a bit and saw some sites. Tangoed with Maradona, ate steak, drank coffees, played polo with some gauchos and did we mention we partied, they know how to do that here.

24 hour bus ride from there to here, and although seasons been slow to start (some resorts have no snow still) Chapelco has shown its narliest with fresh snow coming in all week, and some cold sunny weather last couple days. A bit of hiking and theres loads of nice terrain here, only a small resort but lots easily accessable. (mujeres).

Getting in at 9am from the disco makes it a bit of a mission getting up the hill sometimes, but when you wake up with 5 new numbers in your phone your stoked for the day! Tomo is karioke in the Experience, and what an experience it will be cos the scottish boys will rock it tommorow night. Searching some tunes right now.

Big day hiking planned tommorow and hope to get some pics. Rad locals here are more than keen to show us lines and spots which is an amazing help.
